Winston was a good kid, he never got into trouble, and he made good grades in school. He was prepared to go into the Marine Corps when he was cast in the reality show “Mudcats”. A show about noodling for catfish, “Mudcats” ran for two seasons on the History Channel and National Geographic beginning in 2012 and ran through 2013. Winston was part of a cast of eight men who caught catfish with their bare hands, risking being bitten by snakes and drowning.

Following “Mudcats”, Winston worked on the reality talent show “American Idol” and a short film called “Okies and Aliens”. He was set to star in a movie, “Torn from Normal”. As part of community involvement he was asked to give talks at local schools to young kids as a role model. He had everything going for him.

As part of community involvement he was asked to give talks at local schools to young kids as a role model. He had everything going for him.
He had no motive or reason to commit a robbery of people he didn’t even know.
THEN the unspeakable happened: A Stephens County jury convicted Winston Walters in the case of a home invasion in which a couple was bound and robbed in their home in Comanche, Oklahoma in January 2013.

Both victims identified their own nephew immediately after the crime took place, to this day the victims have never identified Winston.
With no DNA evidence linking Winston to the crime, no bona fide eyewitnesses, no physical way to prove he was at the crime scene; on February 25, 2015 an innocent young man and Comanche Nation citizen,
